Proposal 4 - Gdansk most convenient by train
Gdansk in the 16/17 century, the richest city on the Baltic Sea, destroyed in the Second World War, beautifully rebuilt by Polish restorers, Langgasse, Marienkirche, Artushof and much more. You travel comfortably from Olsztyn to Gdansk, have 4-5 hours for sightseeing and you will be picked up by Olsztyn in the afternoon so that you arrive in Barczewko in time for dinner.
Suggestion 5 - Olsztynek / Gietrzwald / Olsztyn is most convenient by train
Olsztynek - Open air museum with typical regional wooden houses from the 17th to 19th centuries. Century, the visit lasts about 2-3 hours.
Gietrzwald a Catholic place of pilgrimage, a warm house with regional dishes.
Olsztyn - Place for economic life but especially cultural, Olsztyn is 15km away from home. For a drink, a nice cup of coffee or a delicious ice cream, Olsztyn will surprise you. Between the planetarium, the museum of Warmia and Mazury and last but nos least… Plaza Miejska (a new and trendy outdoor area); Olsztyn is pure delight in summer. Olsztyn has also an important festival (Greener festival), a theater and wide music programmation. Everything for everyone...
Other excursions are also waiting for the holiday guest, for example to Zywkowo, where 80 storks and only 35 inhabitants live and the largest population of white storks can be observed in one place, observation tower, coffee shop.
On the way, the castle in Lidzbark Warminski and the large church in Dobre Miasto are well worth seeing.
